My Experience

I have worked in NHS since 2007 and prior to this in charitable and third sector organisations. In both capacities I have worked psychologically with people across the lifespan and in a range of services and settings including learning disabilities and inpatient and specialist community (including assertive outreach and perinatal) mental health services. I have specialised in working with adults living with complex and enduring mental health difficulties and hold a special interest in recovery from complex and relational trauma and attachment difficulties.

My Values

I am passionate about working collaboratively with people to realise their potential towards living a valued life. I aim to build a safe and supportive therapeutic relationship which holds hope, respect, transparency and collaboration at its core. I highly value the insight, understanding and diversity of experience and backgrounds we will each uniquely bring to the therapeutic relationship. My overall aim is to facilitate a shared understanding and direction towards empowering change which extends beyond your period of therapy towards a valued and life worth living.

Models I work with

I work with a range of psychological therapies and therapeutic approaches and use these in their pure form or integratively to compliment the strengths, needs and chosen focus of the person I am working with. Primarily, I work with Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Compassion Focussed Therapy (CFT), Cognitive Behaviour Therapy and Cognitive Analytic Therapy (CAT) informed approaches; I am also informed by systemic and attachment-informed approaches.

Clinic Information
