My Experience

I have been working in mental health settings for over 5 years. I qualified as a mental health nurse and knew I wanted to specialise in working with children and adolescents. I worked on a children’s inpatient ward, before training as a CBT Therapist in community mental health. A have previously worked with young people and families in Children and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS). I have experience working with a range of mental health difficulties including Anxiety, Depression, OCD, PTSD, Social Anxiety, Generalised Anxiety, Panic Disorder and Separation Anxiety.

My Values

I aim to create a safe and trusting space for young people to feel comfortable to share their difficulties. I work hard to understand what is going on for the young person and think about how we can work together to create positive changes.

My aim is to support young people through their recovery journey by learning to understand their difficulties and implement strategies to manage these, that they can continue use throughout their lives.

The Models I Work With

In my therapeutic work, I primarily use Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy.

I am also trained in DNAV (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy for Adolescents) and DBT skills, which I can bring into sessions dependant on the young person’s difficulties.

Clinic Information

I currently offer a virtual clinic on Monday and Wednesday. I work with children and adolescents age 9-18.
