Dr Hubert Fanka
My Experience
I have worked with NHS for the past 15 years. I work with individuals from a range of social and cultural backgrounds and I am motivated by the opportunity to work with diversity as a psychological therapist. As part of my duty, I assess, formulate and implement plans for the formal evidence based psychological treatment and/or management of individual difficulties, based upon an appropriate conceptual framework of the problems, and employing methods based upon evidence of efficacy. I am able to provide specialist psychological therapy using evidence based modalities (CBT, DBT, EMDR, CFT and ACT) I am mindful of my environmental challenges and able to reflect and recognise my own strengths but also my own challenges and opportunities in my helping capacity.
My Values
My passion for therapeutic work is entrenched in my interest and the understanding of human happiness. I sincerely believe in the practical benefits of a life spent helping others, fully investing in the promotion of empathy and compassion. My approach is based on good understanding of, and a commitment to the principles of recovery, choice and personalisation.
