Dr Katy Stevens
My Experience
My experience as a Clinical Psychologist has included over 15 years working within the NHS and private sector, supporting individuals with a range of difficulties such as depression, anxiety disorders, OCD, low self esteem and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). I also have experience of working with neurodivergent clients, supporting individuals to build an awareness of their unique profile of strengths and differences.
I also provide autism and ADHD assessments for adolescents and adults and am interested in supporting individuals to develop their understanding of neurodivergence within the context of their life experiences.
My Values
I am committed to providing thorough, in depth assessments of autism and ADHD, spending time exploring clients personal experiences and making sense of this within a personalised, formulation driven approach. I understand that exploring the relevance of neurodivergence can be an important and significant step to understanding one’s identity, and ensure that I work with clients to guide them through this process so that they feel confident in diagnostic conclusion and recommendations for future support.
