Dr Emma Arora
My Experience
I am a HCPC registered clinical psychologist, CBT, DBT and EMDR therapist. I have worked in adult mental health in the NHS for 15 years in a range of settings. I am currently working in the NHS in a senior psychologist role alongside working in private practice. I have experience of working with adults with a wide range of issues including PTSD, complex trauma, depression, anxiety, personality difficulties and psychosis.
My values
My passion is working therapeutically with clients, being part of your journey towards achieving your goals and a brighter future. My focus will be on developing a collaborative and supportive therapeutic relationship in which you feel safe to explore the issues which are causing distress and holding you back. I work in a goal focused way utilising evidence based psychological models to best meet your needs. In the initial sessions we will think about your goals for therapy and review these on a regular basis to ensure progress is being made.
Models I work with
I work in a formulation driven way with a range of models. The main models I use in my practice currently are CBT, DBT, EMDR, other trauma focused models and ACT. Depending on the issues you are struggling with I might suggest working with one model or a more integrative approach drawing on a range of models.
Clinic information
I currently offer virtual clinics on Monday-Wednesday evenings and Saturday morning. Daytime appointments will shortly be available on a Friday.
