Clinical Psychologist

London Clinic

My Experience

Currently based in East London, I have worked in the NHS and voluntary sector for over fifteen years across a number of settings including adult mental health, CAMHS, physical health and disability services. In this time I worked therapeutically with children, young adults, adults, couples and families. I have experience helping people manage a range of specific issues like anxiety, depression and phobias/OCD. However, I also support people with relationship difficulties, concerns with stress, trauma, worry, low mood, adjustment to illness and bereavement, and life stage transitions.

My experience extends to providing supervision, consultation, and training to individuals, organisations, and schools.

My Values

I place a huge emphasis on creating a safe space where people can share and explore their experiences. In taking care to ensure clients feel supported, the work will always precede using models and practices in line with your values. This flexible and collaborative stance is so important therapeutically, as it is where I consistently see people make the most sense of the challenges they face. I think it also important to balance these challenges, with a reminding of people’s strengths and resources which are often hidden behind stories of stuck-ness and distress.

The Models I Work With

I have been trained in a number of psychotherapy models which I can I use either discreetly or integratively depending on the needs and preferences of the person or family. In this way, sessions can draw on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Narrative Therapy, Mindfulness and Compassion focused approaches, as well as Psychodynamically informed interventions. I have also received additional training in Systemic and Family therapy and can work systemically with individuals, families and organisations.
